July 2012
Dear residents, prospective residents, and colleagues,
More than twelve years ago, I purchased The Woodlands in Glen Ridge, NJ. The house was in bad neglect, but with work I knew it could become a wonderful place to live. I set about returning the house to its former glory and received my NJ State Department of Community Affairs Owners and Operator's license.
Now, having passed my twelve year anniversary as operator of The Woodlands, I am proud to say that the venture has been a success, not only for me, but for the many residents who call The Woodlands home. Many of our residents have been with us since that first year ... and so have some very special ladies on our staff...
Shirley and Pat came to work at The Woodlands in 1998. Shirley (the nanny to our children, previously) has done a wonderful job running the house, cooking, and keeping things orderly. We are blessed to have her and to have had more wonderful ladies join our staff since.
In 2002, I opened my second monitored living facility--The Triton House in Point Pleasant Beach. Like The Woodlands, I renovated the house to its original grandeur. Located one block from the beach, the area is both a summer paradise and a winter get-away.
The business continued to grow. We now operate four homes including The Parkview in Bloomfield, NJ and The Renaissance in Marlboro, NJ.
I remain dedicated to serving the monitored care community well into the future and welcome the opportunity to talk with you about your living needs.
All the best to you and your family,
Joe Paytas
